How to remove facial hair naturally at home?

Hirsutism is a fairly common condition where the facial or body hair tends to be of quite a prominent color. While most men are not greatly affected, it can have n extremely adverse effect on the aesthetic appeal of a woman. Approximately 10% of women suffer from this condition. Through the lifecycle of a person, there are different classifications of hair depending on what they look like and at what age they occur. The initial downy hair formed on a baby or toddlers head is called lanugo hair. Vellus hair is a non-pigmented, soft and short hairs that grown in areas that are seemingly hairless while the terminal hair is a pigmented, coarse type of hair that makes up the scalp hair, eyebrows, eyelashes and pubic hair. The conversion of vellus hair to terminal hair usually takes place around the ages of puberty and is greatly determined by testosterone and androgen levels in the body. The condition can be influenced by a number of actors like genetics, where the condition is past down from previous generations; an excessive use of steroids as well as reactions or side effects of certain medication. Due to hormonal imbalances, cancer may also be a deciding factor in the appearance of darker facial hair.

Bleaching is a widely practiced method of diminishing the prominence of the unwanted facial hair and is generally quite safe with no reported side effects. However, it is essential that you follow the manufacturers directions of application as stringently as possible as it will help get the best results. As far as home remedies go, you could create a paste by mixing 2 teaspoons of gram flour to a pinch of turmeric powder along with a little milk. Mix the ingredients well and apply the paste to your face and neck. Scrub it off after 15 minutes using only your fingertips and a little water. Then wash the face again with a bit of lukewarm water. However, this is a gradual remedy and will take about 3 or 4 months to reflect noticeable results. A faster method of getting rid of unwanted facial hair is threading or waxing. Initially you might want to go to a saloon to have the hair threaded and later on start doing it on your own. Another home remedy for removing unwanted facial hair would be to blend the egg-white from a single egg and mix ½ a teaspoon of corn flour and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Create a paste and apply over the unwanted hair. Peel it off once dried.
